Under new provincial legislation, all eligible voters who wish to vote in an Alberta Municipal Election must be listed on a Permanent Electors Register which will be maintained by each municipality. This process is new to Albertans, Sturgeon County and its voters.
How Do I Register to Vote?
Registering in advance for the Sturgeon County’s Permanent Electors Register will ensure your voting experience is fast, easy and as smooth as possible.
Voters are strongly encouraged to register on Voterlink through Elections Alberta by September 14 to be included in Sturgeon County’s Permanent Electors Register.
Non-registered voters will be required to complete registration at a voting station prior to receiving a ballot, which may delay the voting process and cause longer waits at the polls.
