The next general election for mayor, councillors, and the Catholic and Public school board trustees will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The campaign period for the 2025 Sturgeon County Municipal Election runs from October 31, 2024 to December 31, 2025. Candidates who intend to run in the 2025 Sturgeon County Municipal Election can only accept contributions and incur expenses once their notice of intent is complete and they have been added to the Register of Candidates.

Sturgeon County is recruiting for election workers to work advance voting days and on Election Day.
Hiring is underway for Sturgeon County’s 2025 Municipal Election.
- All positions are paid.
- Training is mandatory and paid for all positions.
- Positions are filled as applications are received.
Job opportunities are offered for the following events:
- Advance Voting dates:
- Saturday, October 11, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 16, 2025 – 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, October 18, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Election Day: Monday, October 20, 2025
