The Project
The project will involve the full reconstruction and surfacing of Coal Mine Road with new asphalt. The project limits are from west of Township Road 544 to east of Estate Way Drive (1.8 km). The intersection of Township Road 544 and Coal Mine Road will be realigned to improve the approach angle and sight lines. Weather permitting, the project should be done by the end of July.
Range Road 252 from Bellerose Drive to Coal Mine road will be reconstructed and paved (.9 km), and the intersection with Bellerose Drive will be upgraded.
The Scope of Work
- In spring 2023, the contractor will be working west from Rge. Rd. 252 n and then working on the intersection upgrades at Bellerose Drive and Twp. Rd. 544.
- Most of the grading along Rge. Rd. 252 is done.
- Grading along Coal Mine Road east of Rge. Rd. 252 north is done.
What This Means to You
There is the potential for disruptions to traffic flow. Traffic signs will be in place.
Project Updates
The road closure of Rge. Rd. 252 has been extended to September 24 as grading continues along Coal Mine Road and Rge. Rd. 252C. This work is scheduled to be done by late September, weather permitting.
The grading work continues along Coal Mine Road. The intersection upgrade work is scheduled to being in late July, weather permitting. The gravel and pavement will be added once the grading is complete.
