The Project

The pedestrian bridge in the Casa Vista subdivision has been in service since the 1980s. It is in poor condition and needs major repairs, and it is currently closed for use. The County is planning a major rehabilitation of the structure in the upcoming construction season.

Project Scope

During the initial bridge assessment in 2023, the plan was to rehabilitate the existing structure. This would involve rehabilitating the existing bridge structure and replacing the bridge’s supporting components.

In June 2024, based on further site investigations and the results of the project tender process, the County is exploring other more cost-effective options.

In 2025, the existing pedestrian bridge will be rehabilitated, replaced, or removed.

What This Means to You

The bridge is closed and not safe for use.
