Navigating Tomorrow Survey

Investing in Future Communities

In September 2025, the City of Edmonton, the Government of Alberta, and regional partners (including Sturgeon County) are launching the Navigating Tomorrow Household Travel Survey.

This annual survey will capture how residents move around the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, covering all travel modes and trip purposes. Data collected will be used to inform transportation planning and infrastructure investment decisions at local, regional, and provincial levels.

The goal of the survey is to:

  • Understand current travel habits and support evidence-based transportation decisions
  • Analyze regional connectivity
  • Monitor changes in travel behavior over time
  • Promote economic growth and regional collaboration

This project is led by the City of Edmonton. To learn more, visit the City of Edmonton website.

  • Information on how to participate online or by phone
  • Contact details for support or questions
  • Brochure with additional information on the survey process

The primary method of participation is through the smartphone app rMove. Residents can also participate through an online portal or telephone interview. How to access these methods will be detailed in the letter you receive.
